WolverineCast

Welcome to Schenck High School's WolverineCast Podcast Page.

As a new feature of this website, students in Mr. Ruggeri's Computer Graphic classes have been exploring this relatively new and free technology which is being referred to as part of something called Web 2.0 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2)  With the low cost and availability of broadband (DSL, Cable) content can be delivered faster and more efficiently than ever before, allowing for large files (images, movies and audio) to be shared. Computer Graphics students have been exposed to this communication tool to learn how it can be applied to their learning, now and in the future. Finally, students are more readily interested in putting together an audio (or video) broadcast/project that can be downloaded seamlessly into their MP3 players.
Regularly produced and scheduled Podcasts will focus on school-related information (dances, sports, club announcements, newspaper articles, college visit schedules, student readings- poetry, creative writing, news stories, etc.), but may include other broadcasted content: movie/music reviews, shopping, hiking, Science Fiction, health, nutrition, technology, Science, books, games, photography, and more. By making school-generated Podcasts available to all to download from the school website, parents and community members will be able to listen first hand what's happening in their school from student-produced broadcasts. As we continue to develop future Podcasts, RSS feeds will be added so that Schenck High School Podcasts will be automatically updated to MP3 players and computers.
