GED Prep -- Diploma -- Enrichment

    Adult & Community Education Classes will begin January 21, 2008.  Pre-Registration is required for all classes.  Please contact Roni Thompson at 746-3517 or email at rthompson@emmm.org  or your Adult & Community Education Office at your local High School. Registration Information:

Office Locations:
  • Schenck High School:  Office is located next to the Shop and Cafe.
  • Stearns High School:  Office is located in a room just inside the Library

Parking is available.  Please enter school buildings at the front main entrance.

Mail In Registration:
    Complete the registration form and mail with your check or money order to Adult Education, c/o Superintendent's office, 45 North Street, East Millinocket, Maine 04430.  Checks are made payable to Adult Education.  If a course is full when your registration is received, you will be notified and have the option of being placed on a waiting list prior to having your money refunded.

Walk-In Registrations:
   
We highly recommend mailing in your registration form and check as soon as you receive this flyer.  You may also drop off your registration at the main office of either High School.

Adult Education Fees:
    Course fees are listed in each description and must be paid along with the registration.  Book fees (if applicable) can be paid at the first class. Material fees are to be paid to the instructor.  Senior Citizens 60 + will have a reduced rate of $10.00 for registration fees unless otherwise noted.  Diploma courses taken for High School Credit are free to our residents.

Registration Deadline:
    Courses may be canceled due to insufficient registrations one working day prior to the start date.  Be sure to register early.

Refund Guidelines:
    If we cancel a class, all fees will be refunded.  If you notify us of your intent to withdraw after the first class and before the second class, all fees will be refunded.  No refunds are given if you withdraw after the second class or after a one-night workshop is held.  Refunds may take 2-3 weeks to process.
 

No School Policy:
    In the event of school cancellation, please listen to reports on local radio and television stations.  If Millinocket and/or Union #113 Schools are canceled, there will be no adult education classes that day/evening.

No Smoking Policy:
    As per the School Policy, there is NO smoking allowed on School Property.
